SADA
Giving a cultural foundation a recognizable voice.
Context
SADA is a cultural foundation that commissions music, literature and performance from emerging artists across the region.
Challenge
Its programs were respected but invisible as a whole. Each event carried its own look, so audiences never connected the work back to the foundation behind it.
Thinking
An echo — the meaning of sada — is a sound that returns changed by the space it moves through. We saw the foundation the same way: it does not speak for artists, it amplifies them.
Direction
Build an identity system rather than a logo: a fixed typographic voice and a set of resonance lines that each program can bend to its own rhythm.
Making
We defined the positioning, naming architecture and bilingual wordmark, then produced the identity toolkit, motion principles and the launch campaign.
System
Every program carries the same typographic voice, while the resonance lines adapt to its medium — sound waves for music, line breaks for literature, movement paths for performance.
Outcome
For the first time, audiences could recognize a SADA program before reading its name, and the foundation now briefs partners with a single, coherent toolkit.
Reflection
A flexible identity still needs one fixed point. Locking the typography early is what gave every later variation permission to move.
